From the jam sessions initiated by Rolf-Ulrich Kaiser in 1972, in collaboration with with Dieter Dierks and members of the legendary Krautrock bands Tangerine Dream, Ash Ra Tempel and Wallenstein, he was able to produce further LPs in addition to the debut album The Cosmic Jokers. Sternenmädchen • Gilles Zeitschiff was the fifth and final release in the Kosmische Musik series, which, like all the others, appeared in 1974. In addition to the session recordings, he also used parts from various productions by his labels Ohr, Pilz and Kosmische Musik. Divided into fourteen fragments of transcendent space rock, the album is more of an audio/music documentary about LSD guru Timothy Leary, narrated over the electronic music by Gille Lettmann, the Sternenmädchen (star girl). A pseudonym for a mystical person that Kaiser created for his girlfriend. There are also male vocals and voices from Timothy Leary, Sergius Golowin and Walter Wegmüller, among others. This album was also withdrawn because the musicians involved sued Rolf-Ulrich Kaiser for not receiving royalties. Like the other four LPs on the Kosmische Musik label, this musical, atmospheric psychedelic journey into the dream world is very rare and sought after not only by Krautrock collectors all over the world.
