Leaf Hound developed from the ashes of Black Cat Bones and Brunning Sunflower Blues Band, in which vocalist Peter French and his cousin guitarist Mick Halls had served their musical apprenticeship. The only album Growers Of Mushroom was recorded in 1971 in one eleven hour session at Spot Studios Mayfair in London. By the time the album was released, the band had already split up. Without any promotion this gem of British heavy blues rock apparently lost in the haze of the era.
And is now one of the most sought-after early UK Hard Rock records which achieves absolutely crazy prices.
