Time Ride, the third and final album by the Frankfurt trio Jeronimo, was once again recorded in Stommeln in the studio of Dieter Dierks, who served as sound engineer. Produced by Peter Hauke, it was released on the Bacillus Records label in an elaborately designed gatefold cover in autumn 1972. Less bluesy than its self-titled predecessor, this LP, which was even released in Brazil, features hard progressive rock with occasional psychedelic influences. Dynamic heavy guitar sounds, driving bass lines on a solid drum foundation alternate with occasional organ interludes and quiet acoustic sequences. Despite being one of the best-known German bands of the era and having performed live with Deep Purple and Golden Earring, among others, they disbanded in 1973.
This last Jeronimo album is also difficult to find as a German first pressing and is therefore quite expensive.
