We Are Ever So Clean was the first of two albums (the second was If Only For A Moment) by the British band Blossom Toes, which was formed in London in 1967. The line-up consisted of guitarist, singer and keyboardist Brian Godding, guitarist and singer Jim Cregan, bassist and singer Brian Belshaw and Kevin Westlake on drums. Recorded at Chappell Recording Studios in London and produced by Giorgio Gomelsky, their debut album was released in November 1967 with cover design by Paragon Publicity on his Marmalade label.

This psychedelic album was overshadowed by the major musical events of the mid-1960s, but it ranks among the most underrated LPs in the burgeoning British psychedelic rock scene. Their innovative and unique sound ranges from psych-rock to baroque pop and is filled with trippy, psychedelic effects. Their debut album received critical acclaim and even compared to Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, which had been released just a few months earlier. Nevertheless, it unfortunately received little attention at the time of its release and was not a major commercial success. The album, especially the extremely rare Italian edition, has since become a legend and a collector’s item that is now very difficult to find.
