Obscure cult hard rock band, founded as Truth in the beginning of the 70s in Cedar Rapids, Iowa by Billy Janey (g, voc), Steven Bock (b, voc) and drummer Denis Bunce. After a pair of singles in 1972/1973 they added Janey to their name after it was discovered another Truth had claim to the name.
Although they played successful live gigs in Iowa and neighboring states for years, they were denied a contract with a major record label. So they financed their first and only album on their own, which they recorded in 1976. It was released by a local independent label the same year with a very small print run of only 1000 copies.
The mix of heavy rock with progressive and southern rock elements is now one of the long-forgotten American hard rock nuggets from the 70s. Originals of this super rare vinyl now going for big bucks!
