Roger Bunn from Norwich was an English singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who had already played in numerous bands when he recorded his first and only solo album in 1969. It was released in early 1970 with an attractive cover design by Ger Polak, initially in England on Major Minor. The stylistic diversity of Bunn's compositions ranges from psychedelic folk with jazzy arrangements and Far Eastern elements, to melancholic pop/beat with soul horn sections, to humorous, quirky pieces with associative lyrics. Unfortunately, due to poor decisions on the part of the record company, his debut album was overshadowed by more commercial oriented releases and therefore completely overlooked.
Nevertheless, Roger Bunn's groundbreaking LP found favour with musicians and fans alike and is now considered one of the most important unknown works of British pop and rock music of the late 1960s due to its uniqueness.
