Another one of those bands that never managed to become even remotely famous, despite releasing an LP. The quartet from Lippstadt in North Rhine-Westphalia consisted of Klaus Peter Kusmann (voc, g), Charly Kolck (g, b, voc), Martin Mueller (b, g, voc) and Dieter Lempke (dr, perc). They called themselves Pegasus, after the winged horse in Greek mythology that symbolises inspiration, freedom, ideas and creativity. In 1975, they recorded their first and only album, Seems A Long Time, which they self-published. The result is impulsive underground hippie guitar rock with a kind of American „West Coast“ flair. Studio and production costs probably had to be cut, as the overall sound seems rather dull and muted. Due to their lack of success, the band soon split up, as even Pegasus was unable to help. The small private pressing is virtually impossible to find and therefore extremely expensive.
