November's debut album En Ny Tid Är Här… enjoyed modest national success, followed by frequent live concerts in their native Sweden. A year later, in 1971, they released their second album, 2:a November, again on the Scandinavian label Sonet. They expanded their trio hard rock sound with greater complexity in their songs and progressive elements, such as the subtle use of piano and organ, played by producer Georg Wadenius. However, the powerful bass of Crister Stalbrandt and the rapid guitar playing of Richard Rolf continued to define their hard-hitting blues rock with Swedish lyrics. They then embarked on a successful European tour, performing live with popular musicians and bands. Record sales also increased slightly internationally, prompting them to begin work on a third album.
