Founded in Rüsselsheim (near Frankfurt) in 1968, My Solid Ground toured a lot in their local area and played hard rock, enriched with psychedelic sounds. After winning the second price in a nationwide competition for bands hosted by Südwestfunk (SWF), they get a record contract from Bacillus Records (Bellaphon). Bernhard Rendel (g, voc), Ingo Werner (org, p), Karl-Heinrich Dörfler (b, voc) and drummer Andreas Würsching recorded their only album in 1971. Produced by legendary Dieter Dierks it was released in October the same year. With their heavy psych rock with cosmic and spacey effects they did a lot of successful live-gigs the following year. Despite a few television appearances and a few more studio productions with their own titles, the band disbanded in 1972 after a complete line-up change.
This highly recommended album with its unique cover design is one of the most sought-after psychedelic krautrock classics!
