Released in 1971, the album is now a highly sought-after collector's item for four reasons. First, Mike Absalom is an outstanding singer/songwriter with a bent sense of humor and a flair for poetry. It contains folk-rock material about drugs, sex, police corruption, and politics, humorously wrapped up in Mike's unique brand of poetry, narrated over acoustic guitar. Second, the beautiful and unique 6-panel cover art by Roger Dean. Third, it was produced by Patrick Campbell-Lyons of 60s group Nirvana fame. And fourth, it was released by the British progressive cult label Vertigo. By the time he signed with Vertigo, he had already issued two albums. But this, his third, is without doubt his strongest album.
