Famous proto-punk band from the Motor City (MC) Detroit. Kick Out The Jams, released in 1969, was recorded live and was a rousing debut album of loud and raucous rock'n'roll infused with political ambitions. The controversial „motherfucker“, which was later replaced by „brothers and sisters“, made them known throughout the country. In the late 60s, Elektra was still an independent label and yet released the album worldwide in 9 countries.
The Italian version was unique with its alternative cover. It was never repressed there and is therefore rare and not just on the wish lists of Italian collectors.
