The third LP from the former blues and folk singer Alvaro „Jumbo“ Fella and his accompanying band from Milan, released by Philips in 1973. Largely liberated from British influences, it is commonly regarded as their best and highest-rated album. They played high-energy symphonic prog rock in complex song structures, as well as long spacey and psychedelic passages with folk, world-music and jazz elements. On their most ambitious work lots of instruments are used: guitar, drums, bass, flute, horns, synthesizers, Mellotron, Hammond organ, reed organ.
As the title already indicates, they used controversial lyrics, such as homosexuality, masturbation, prostitution, alcoholism, drug addiction. This certainly had negative consequences for the band, whose album was banned by the radio stations, but also by some record shops.
The Italian original of this famous 3rd album by Jumbo, which comes with a gatefold, a textured cover and lyrics on the inner sleeve, is super rare and sought after worldwide.
