Founded in 1967 Jasper played a mix of psych, prog, blues and jazz rock and were thus on the cutting edge in the late 60s British psych/blues scene. On their sole album Liberation, released by Spark in 1969, they show unusual arrangements in a personalized blues style. Steve Radford's excellent lead-guitar lighting the way, supported by their keen use of flute and harpsichord.
Unfortunately, Jasper disbanded shortly after this release and got out of the music business. The mega-rare original LP vanished completely into private collections.
