Corte Dei Miracoli was an Italian prog-rock quintet founded in 1973 in Savona, north-western Liguria. The band achieved a certain level of fame with their spacey, symphonic prog rock thanks to their distinctive line-up featuring two keyboardists, Alessio Feltri and Riccardo Zegna. A guitar was only represented in the form of a guest musician, Vittorio De Scalzi. The other members were Graziano Zippo (voc), Gabriele Siri (b) and Flavio Scogna (dr, perc). With this line-up, they recorded their first and only eponymous album, which was released by the small Italian independent label Grog Records in 1976. Their debut album showcases lush keyboard-based symphonic progressive rock, emotional vocals with a Mediterranean touch, and expansive instrumental parts in a wide stylistic range that also includes jazzy and classical elements.
Unfortunately, Corte Dei Miracoli was just another overlooked prog rock band from Italy in the 70s, who had great potential right at the beginning of their short career but disbanded in the summer of the same year due to lack of success.
