Blossom Toes’ second and final album was released in July 1969, featuring their new drummer Barry Reeves. It was once again recorded at Chappell Recording Studios in London, produced by Giorgio Gomelsky and issued on his Marmalade label. Paragon Publicity was once again responsible for the cover design. In terms of sound and attitude, however, it stands in stark contrast to their debut album We Are Ever So Clean (released as The Psychedelic Sound Of in Italy), which had come out two years earlier.

The album is much harder and darker. It presents eight slow, complex tracks of heavy, sombre psychedelic and acid rock, driven by two lead guitars, powerful drumming and three different vocalists, standing in stark contrast to the fifteen short, cheerful and playful songs on the previous album. The sombre lyrics, with their references to war, frustration and disillusionment, are a world away from the light-hearted, cheerful and dreamy songs featured on the debut. Despite its contemporary, fresh sound, the album unfortunately remained a hidden gem. After the band was involved in a near-fatal car accident on the way home from a gig a few months later, they finally decided to split up. Today, this rare original British edition is a sought-after collector’s item, not only among fans of hard psychedelic rock all over the world.
