In the same year after his first album in 1974, the talented organist and multi-instrumentalist Ingo Werner was already working on his second LP, which differed drastically from each other. While on his debut album he fronted a five-piece progressive Krautrock band, here he collaborated with the famous percussionist and multi-instrumentalist Nemat Darman (dr, sit, tab, cga, cimb, gong, timp, vib) from Iran as a duo. Again recorded in Dieter Dierks studio and produced by Werner, the result is a compelling medley of „East and West“-inspired improvisations and original spacey experiments.
This extraordinary album, which lives up to its title „Collage“ and combines Indian, jazzy, electronic and some prog elements, was released, like the first LP, in a limited edition on the small Cycle label. This unique mixture of ethnic-electronic ambient music, spiced with esotericism, is extremely popular, not only among lovers of this type of music.
