Another obscure German band about which virtually nothing is known and which left behind only one album. The quartet from the Frankfurt region consisted of Michael Brod (org, fl), Gerhard Fünfsinn (b), Georg Weber (dr) and guitarist Peter Dettlaff, who later joined the band AG a.m.. They recorded their first and only self-produced LP with the bizarre title Teilweise Kacke... ...Aber Stereo (Partly shit... ...But Stereo) over two days at the end of May/beginning of June 1973 at the Ravenstein recording studio in Frankfurt. Unlike the experimental Krautrock of the time with its complex arrangements, the band presented a modest instrumental album with relaxed improvisations and a certain minimalism, which is also reflected in the cover design. The dominant, somewhat old-fashioned sounding organ, as well as the flute, which at times incorporated classical elements, are more reminiscent of the early days of progressive rock. The electric guitar was mainly used for rhythm accompaniment and dispensed with any rock effects.
The album was self-released in the same year. This ultra-rare private pressing in a very small edition is now considered one of the most enigmatic albums of the Krautrock era. There is no reissue, not even a bootleg, and it is therefore very expensive.
